Import tariffs to cut on 26 core aviation materials

In the recent tariff adjustment plan for 2021 released by the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council, Xiamen's proposal for adjusting the import tariff rates of 26 core aviation materials were adopted. It is estimated that the reduction in the tariff rate of core aviation materials is expected to bring Xiamen aviation maintenance enterprises an annual reduction of nearly 20 million yuan in tariff cost, fuelling their international competitiveness. For all these years, Xiamen has been placing great emphasis on the development of the aviation maintenance industry. The Xiamen Area of Fujian Free Trade Zone is always seeing the aviation maintenance industry as one of the 14 key industrial platforms in the area, organically combining institutional innovation with industrial development in an effort to forge a globally key "one-stop" aviation maintenance base.
